The Kiwi Gun Blog has asked every political Party in New Zealand for their firearms policy. So that our readers can then make an informed decision on who to vote for come the next election.

The Legalize Cannabis Party declined to respond in any way.

The Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party was founded in 1996 and is dedicated to removing  restrictions on the use of cannabis and similar substances.

It has contested every general election since its founding.

The party has never won representation in Parliament.

Two Cannabis Party candidates went on to become Members of Parliament for the Green Party. So be warned that their principles of respecting personal liberty stop at YOU.

The Cannabis Party’s best general election result was in its first showing.

It won 1.66% of the party vote.

Since then it has not received more than 1% of the party vote in any election.
