New Attacks On Freedom By The Week… Make a Submission Or Lose Your Pump Action!

HERE IS THE KIWI GUN BLOG’S SUBMISSION AGAINST THE SUPPLEMENTARY ORDER PAPER

https://www.parliament.nz/en/ECommitteeSubmission/52SCFE_SCF_BILL_91272/CreateSubmission

I am writing to oppose the supplementary order paper.

1.    It seeks to solve problems that don’t exist. No such modified pistols have EVER been used in a New Zealand crime to my knowledge.

H3925-L83210491

2.    The proposals are completely outside the remit of this bill. This is not a tweak of the existing proposals – it is an utterly random addition. As such, it is an abuse of the proper process.

3.    The suggested changes undo forty years of legal precedent.

The definitions are so rushed and ill-considered that they could see vicious criminals escape justice. They will cause legal chaos.

4.    There is NO need to rush ANY changes. Do it right.

5.    There is no mention of compensation for the losses that the proposed changes will cause lawful shooters.

6.    The changes will impact precious collector firearms that are never shot.

Parts would need to be removed and stored elsewhere. Even removing them could do expensive damage. Impossible to replace parts may be lost. Theft or accidental loss raises questions of liability.

7.    As for the pistols fitted to rifle chassis systems – Police have painted themselves into a corner.

They said that there could not be a sporting exemption for semi auto rifles because there was no governing body like the NZ Pistol Association to manage such events.

EVERY pistol system that they now intend to target IS already under the NZ Pistol Association control.

8.    Even as the IPSC shooting discipline is being considered for Olympic inclusion – Police would destroy the sport here. They should surprise us all and actually target criminals.

9.    Police now demand the right to declare any pump action rifle illegal. On a whim. Such draconian powers are not needed and are sure to be abused.

Such powers make honest New Zealander’s incredibly vulnerable

Please reject this inexcusable power grab by a Police force that is out of control.

  1. Where is the logic in the legislation?
If there is no-logic by the process of reasoning of the facts and process; then there must be intent by the proposer.
As nothing moves without thinking; all legislation is by intent.
Analysis of the elements shows the true intent and direction of the legislation.
Dis-armament of the people and compulsory slavery by force of violence (lethal-violence).
It seems that government is ruled by insanity; or more simply the Devil.

You shall know the tree by the fruit it produces.

  2. I read your submission.

Take careful note of the results that accrue.

Then resolve to write no more begging letters.

Sorry if that stings … the truth is that they want the guns. All of ’em. None of your pleas will alter that goal. Sure, they might throw you a crumb, here and there, to pacify you. But the Progressive march continues towards complete disarmament.

These people envision a society in which everything belongs to the State … in which everything may be seized and re-distributed. We are so close to that, already.
It follows that both the Will to resist, and the Means to resist, must be eliminated.

    You can’t bargain with Devils.

  6. Well, gun confiscation and voluntary surrerenders didn’t work in Venezuela: https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/383968-in-the-wake-of-a-gun-ban-venezuela-sees-rising-homicide-rate .
The murder rate is high and banned firearms are still widely available on the black market: http://theconversation.com/venezuelas-soaring-murder-rate-has-plunged-the-nation-into-a-public-health-crisis-116771 , https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/venezuelans-against-maduro-hindered-by-2012-gun-ban .

Strict gun laws didn’t work out in Brazil either. You can have many opinions about President Bolsonary, but at least he tries to modernize the gun laws: https://www.dw.com/en/brazils-bolsonaro-signs-decree-further-easing-gun-rules/a-48645988

Even Australia is failing with their strict firearms regulation policy, but nonetheless some NZ politicians seem to think it is wise idea to implement similar, misdirected policies that mainly affect normal hunters, sport shooters and collectors:
    https://www.policyforum.net/australias-gun-laws-leading-by-imperfect-example/ , http://www.internationalaffairs.org.au/australianoutlook/is-new-zealand-feeling-satisfied-with-feeling-safe/

Maybe you have to give the local politicians a hint or two before the next election? Talk to them, provide scientific facts, examples etc.
Remember, you are indeed the local “gun lobby”: Inform your family, relatives, friends, neighbours, collegues and so on.
Organize yourselves. Your opinions and votes matter.

  7. i am sorry i just dont get this wasted effort firearms owners seem be going thru, putting subbissions into a select committee thats alllready made its mind up and has no intention of listening to let alone actually considering these subbissions, will do anything to change anything either can be worthwhile, all it will do is allow firearms owners to able to stand up and say we did our best to stay within the law,use due proceess etc, maybe good pr,but wont change one thing, you still going to lose all your legal rights to search and sesure, and they will still by any means possible take your firearms away, you will have acheived nothing, the only way you may get them to actually take notice and back down and possibly more reasonable,is simpliy not comply with them, what they actually in real terms going to be able to do???raid every single house hold where a licence holder lives?? cant see that flying!!they just dont have the resources to doso, they allso dont have a clue who owns what or how many firearms on their growing list there are out there, needle in the haystack thing,so why bother complying when they have made it impossible to doso??firearms owners are very possibly the law adiding segement of the community, has that made any difference to nz police or the government??the answer is very definatly NO.
what happened in ch/ch falls absolutly on nz police not doing their job just as has happened many times in the past with firearms, this whole process has unashamably been used by this government using the emoitions of what happened to once again those not involved to cover up nz police negligence, and to protect their guilty partys and nz police and goverment as a whole from being made resposible and proscuted for derilition of their legally required dutys, firearms owners are easy targets coz they know who you are and where you are,i just dont get why you all cant see that, and resist their bullying and just not comply with them, its should be so obvious to you by now, that you are never going to win by any legal means.
the police have just been caught again issusing a firearms licence to a party who had only been in country for 2DAYS,negligence once again, will there be any conceqences for that licence being issused by negligence?? i very much doubt it,they will as they allways do and protect the guilty partys and cover their own butts as usual, how can you so blindly trust nz police and government to first listen to you submissions let alone take them seriuously when historically they never have before,i am now longer a firearms licence holder tho i was for allmost 50 years,i have no axe to grind as no longer own firearms, but i can see without a doubt you are being blamed for something a AUSSIE did who the nz police thru sheer negligence once again gave a licence to who should never have been issused with one,you are being made political scape goats of big time, yet fail to fully comprehend this,as i see it now you only have two choices,go like sheep to the slaughter or resist and simplily dont comply enmass,to do otherwise is to totally delude yourselves.

      1. yoyu dont need to look very hard to see and understand that as a nation we kiwis are a politicaly nieave and trusting bunch when it comes to our political system and the polititions who we elect to run it,the system has never been a good one,its now long been broken and totally disfunctional as is our so called justice system, along with a negligent ,disfunctioal possible corrupt police force more intersted in covering up their own misdeeds than serving the interests of up holding the same law for all and justice, and polititions and nz police wonder why the public have lost respect and trust in them all.
you cant fight this system using the legal proceses of the law,as they make the rules to suit themselves and have proven many times they will change the law if the legal system finds against them,to protect their own guilty partys, what do you think the enquiry into the christchurch horror is all about and why its a secret enquiry???that we will never know the real truths that were exposed by that enquiry, thats because its to find out what really did happen, then to cover it up to protect the government agencies who were responsible for what happened, why else would it be secret, and findings being suppressed from public???
our prime minister was the chair of the 2018 enquiry into the need to change nz gun laws, that in dec 2018 three months before ch/ch decided there was no need to change the law, because it was working and fit for purpose, yet three months later due to ch/ch police not doing their job as required by those laws.they gave a firearms licence to an AUSSIE who didnt qualify and should never have been issused with said licence if nz police had actually done their job as the law required, therefore the blame falls absolutly at the feet nz police for what happened, will nz police be held accountable, absolutly not,so who doses get the blame our gun laws for being too lax,and nz legal law abiding gun owners who then get villifyed by nz government with full and very willing nz police in an effort for them and government to protect the guilty and cover their collective arses, thats exactly how nz politics and nz police work in our country and have done for very long time,if you think thats ever going to change and you can beat or stop this corupt system by using the law and the courts our by due process thru parlimenty committes you must be dreaming.coz the system dosnt work that way in nz,all you going to achieve is waste your money and time fighting a system thats absolutly stacked against you winning or changing anything ,in real terms you lose no matter what you do using the law and system as it stands, its a lose /lose situation and thats the sad truth of politics in nz. today.
        cheers mike
