Back in June I decided to get – on the record – an accounting of what action the Prime Minister and her Police Minister took after my warning that failures in Police vetting would lead to a gun tragedy.

I included evidence of police admitting to arming thousands of criminals. Of them admitting to arming multiple killers. Of Police arming gangs with tens of thousands of dollars in guns – in one case alone.

Finally, I warned of the most senior police lying and then being forced to admit that even years after these horrors they had taken NO action to change policy.

So the threat continued.

My efforts to follow up have been met with complete contempt….

Before the Christchurch shooting I contacted Stuart Nash and Jacinda Adern to express my concerns about the possibility of such a firearm tragedy.

In these emails I detailed the known issue of Australians not being vetted.

I called both offices to follow up.

Evidence was provided.

What action was taken by the office of the Prime Minister and the office of the Police Minister after this contact?

Mike Loder

A response was due within twenty days.

Dear Mr Loder

I apologise for the delay in responding to your request below.

Unfortunately Police does not hold the information you are seeking.   We should therefore have transferred the request to the Minister of Police within the timeframe provided for by section 14 of the Official Information Act 1982.

The Minister of Police’s office has now agreed to respond to your request and to that end we have formally transferred the request to that office, though this has been done outside the statutory timeframe.

Police accepts that there has been a failure on our part to respond to this request within the time allowed for by the Official Information Act.

Ngā mihi

Now we are past deadline AGAIN.

For the second time.

Follow up emails were ignored.

A complaint has been made to the ombudsman’s office.

What was it that Jacinda said about being the ‘Most transparent government ever’?

Here she is literally breaking the law to hide her possible complicity in one of our nation’s worst tragedies.

The Labour government has delayed the Royal Commission report – repeatedly – until after the election.

delay

This should finally tell a story of both Police incompetence and how early the true cause of the shooting was known.

Ardern has also refused to say WHEN she knew Christchurch was caused by a Police vetting issue.

st

Was it even as she sold out shooters?

Ardern no doubt also hopes to now drag out any accounting of her inaction prior to the Christchurch horror as well.

Perhaps so a villain can continue to play a hero.
